New Year’s Eve 2011 (or Nochevieja as it is known out here) is as important in the Spanish calendar of celebrations as it is anywhere in the world. The Spanish are always eager to have a party at the least excuse, so when Nochevieja comes around they make the most of it!

Many of the bars and clubs in Playa de Gandía have come together and are offering joint tickets and entrance deals, to include a certain number of drinks in the ticket price and you can move from one bar to another all on the same ticket. Some ticket options also offer a meal at a nominated restaurant as well, so the choice is yours whether to eat down at the Playa as well, before embarking on the celebrations proper!

Hotels are also giving good deals on accommodation prices for the New Year’s Eve celebrations, so if you want to have a real fiesta to remember and without any of the worry of having to have one of your party as a nominated driver, have a look and see what deals can be found – it could be very worthwhile.

Playa de Gandía is one of the best known holiday destinations for the Spanish during the summer, and although the weather is obviously not as hot at this time of the year, Gandía is still a great place to come to get away from your everyday surroundings. All the facilities of the restaurants, bars and clubs are at your disposal, but the crowds may not be quite as thick on the ground as at the height of the summer season. A good time to come to a good place!
